I've always known you were a unique soul. You've marched to the beat of your own drum since practically birth....and I know....it's going to serve you well......one day. HOWEVER...until that day arrives can you....maybe...... oh......just possibly......do SOMETHING easily? I am not asking for much. How about pick up on just one, maybe two social cues? Or....spend a day at school where you don't say something crazy.....( Do I need to bring up the "My momma says dam*it is a bad word" principal's office, on the THIRD DAY OF SCHOOL......the SAME school at which I am employed......fiasco?) Maybe a day free of conduct marks or trips to the detention table? An afternoon of homework where you actually have all the materials you need would be a lovely touch. You don't remember this...because you've only known the Queen who was beaten down by the weight of child rearing.....but I actually used to be a cool chick. Quit shaking your head....I tell you it's the truth! Just imagine how idyllic our lives could be if I could tell you to do something once....or even twice, I'm feeling generous......and you did it?
In closing, I love you more than my luggage but you are driving me to drink........and that doesn't mix well with the mood altering drugs I am forced to take to maintain a remnant of my sanity. You know...a little self control....the kind that ensures your safety from extreme bodily harm? Yeah......just a little help would be lovely!
Sincerely,
Momma

4 Knelt before the Queen:
oh man how old is he now? I thought kids out grew that...I better hand on.
Not to make you break out the whiskey, but my 33 year old was exactly like that and still is! He still doesn't really pick up on social cues and he's entirely too hyper. I didn't work at any of his schools, but I might as well have I got called to come there so much!
Oh..I'm so glad he hasn't changed much. I can always count on a story from Jr to make even the most terrible day laughable! :)

I met one of my best school friends in the Principal's office. 2nd grade I think.
