The Lurid Affair
For awhile now I have wondered why this blog lost its allure for me. How could something that, at one time, meant so much to me lose the ability to hold my attention. Then....it hit me. I was forced to investigate the cause of all my problems. I was forced to admit my indiscretions. It would seem that I have been cheating on this blog. I found an outlet that was quicker, easier, and much more low-brow, which.....if you know anything about the Queen......is exactly how I roll. YES....I've forged a new relationship with Facebook. To be honest.....it was the pressure of other bloggers that sent me running into the arms of this social network. The ease of the two sentence updates, the immediate response of the other members, and the flashy images of the ridiculous games were just too much to resist. However, something within me always knew I would return to this genre........embrace the opportunity to share even the most mundane details of my life. I've missed the creative outlet, I've missed the friendships I've made along this journey, and I've missed having a place to document all the crazy sh*t my son says! So....acknowledgement is the first step to recovery.....so let's see if I can rekindle the fire I once felt for this place!

7 Knelt before the Queen:
Hey there stranger! I almost couldn't believe my eyes when my reader said you had posted...I thought for sure you're site had been hijacked or something! ;) Anyhow, I understand...there is definitely a ebb and flow when it comes to blogging, but I do hope you find your inspiration to write again..I always enjoyed your stories! :)

yay does this mean you are back?! I know facebook is so much more rewarding sometimes with the immediate response!
Yaaaaa... another blogger who came back from FaceBook!!! Not that many do, you are one of the few!
I don't do Facebook very often.. Love me blog too much!
Nice to see you back chick.
I wondered what happened to you. I went over to the dark side too, but I don't play the games....just started fb to check on my kids....then found old friends and you where it goes from there. Glad you're back!
Oh my gosh... you hit the nail on the head. I too have been cheating with FB. I feel so much better and so much less alone.
I'm glad you are back. I love reading what you write!
Glad to see you back.
Blogs, such as mine, are similar to monographs. I do charcuterie, not politics or catching up with long lost classmates. FB works fine for that.
It's tough to quite. Done it a few times myself and it always calls me back!
